What are financial statements?

Financial statements are formal records of a company's financial performance and position. The three main statements are the income statement (revenue and expenses), balance sheet (assets, liabilities, and equity), and cash flow statement (operating, investing, and financing cash flows). Together they give investors a comprehensive view of financial health.
